Patiala emerge overall champions

Patiala emerged overall champions in the Punjab State Cycling Championship, which was held at Punjabi University here today. Jaswant Singh Grewal, former general secretary of the Cycling Federation of India was the chief guest on the occasion. Punjabi University cycling coach Mittarpal Singh said the tournament was held in the U-14, U-16 and U-18 age categories and men and women open categories.

Results

Sprint (men): 1st Manjeet Singh of Amritsar; 2nd Pawan Kumar of Patiala; and 3rd Harpreet Singh of Patiala. 

Sprint (women): 1st Pooja of Patiala, 2nd Jasmine Kaur of Patiala; and 3rd Kiran Kaur of Amritsar. 

Sprint (boys) U-18: 1st Amandeep Kamboj of Ludhiana; 2nd Gurpreet Singh of Amritsar; and 3rd Nikhil Sharma of Ludhiana.

1km time trial (men): 1st Harpreet Singh of Patiala; 2nd Prabhdeep Singh of Patiala; and 3rd Pawan Kumar of Patiala.

1km time trial (boys): 1st Sandeep Kumar of Patiala; 2nd Sahil of Ludhiana; and 3rd Nikhil Sharma of Ludhiana. 

500m time trial: 1st Prabhdeep Kaur of Patiala; 2nd Jasmine Kaur of Patiala; and 3rd Seharpreet Kaur of Amritsar.

500m time trials (U-16 boys): 1st Namandeepak of Patiala; 2nd Gurpreet Singh of Amritsar; and 3rd Diljot Singh of Amritsar.

500m time trial (women): 1st Pardeep Kaur of Patiala; 2nd Pooja of Amritsar; and 3rd Narpinder Kaur of Amritsar.

4km (men): 1st Rajbir Singh of Patiala; 2nd Harpreet Singh of Ludhiana; and 3rd Satwinder Singh of Patiala.

3km individual pursuit: 1st Naman Kapil of Patiala; 2nd Sandeep Kumar of Patiala; and 3rd Sahil of Patiala.
