Chandigarh, December 30

J&K beat Uttarakhand 1-0 in a Group A match on Day 3 of the Santosh Trophy north zone qualifiers at MLSM College Ground, Sundernagar. 

J&K forward Abdul Mir Hanan scored the lone goal of the match with a penalty kick.

Punjab beat Haryana 1-0 in the second match of the day. The first half was a goalless affair but Punjab forward Baltej Singh scored in the 48th minute to put his team in lead. Haryana tried hard to find the equaliser but every time failed to do so. Just before the final whistle, the referee sent off Punjab defender Manpreet Singh for elbowing a Haryana player.

Punjab are on top with two wins in as many matches. J&K, Haryana are placed second and third, respectively.
