Raja Kang to contest as Independent

LUDHIANA:Atam Nagar constituency seems to be a favourite of leaders of various political parties.

Ludhiana, January 16

Atam Nagar constituency seems to be a favourite of leaders of various political parties. Local Congress leaders were seen surpassing each other for getting the ticket from this constituency and when the ticket was given to a new entrant, Kamlajeet Karwal, they turned against him.

Now, local SAD leader Raja Kang has announced to fight as Independent candidate from the Atam Nagar constituency. Unhappy with the SAD choice, he today decided to fight independently.

“Gurmeet Singh Kular is not a common face among the masses. We have been working for the party for the last 7-8 years and now the ticket is being given to a person who knows nothing about the area,” Kang said.

If elected to power, Kang said he would work for the development of the constituency. — TNS
