Haridwar, December 21

Educated youths are key to India becoming a super power. Swami Ramdev stated this at the inaugural session of the three-day international convention ‘Education For Tomorrow’ at Patanjali Yogpeeth, 15-km from Haridwar, here today. Around 200 educational institutes from 19 countries are participating in the convention.

Ramdev said schools and colleges were factories which churn out education and hence the emphasis should be on quality of education being given to students.

He said we find students educated following a curriculum but morally, culturally and technically educated students were the need of the hour. “We need to change our percentage or grade-oriented education format. Moral, spiritual, cultural and professional education being given at Acharya Kulam school by Patanjali Yogpeeth need to be followed,” said Ramdev.

Political and social commentator Dr Subrahmanyam Swami stressed on the overall development of the students, with emphasis on technical and professional education.

National Management Development Foundation delegates, Swami Shailendra, Avinash Chandra Joshi, Stutu, Shishir Saini, and Rajiv Pathak from the Indian Institute of Management also addressed the inaugural session of the convention.
