Robbery case registered

CHANDIGARH: A day after an Activa scooter and Rs 5,000 was snatched from a Mohali resident, the Chandigarh police booked four unknown persons for robbery.

A day after an Activa scooter and Rs 5,000 was snatched from a Mohali resident, the Chandigarh police booked four unknown persons for robbery. Victim Ramandeep, a resident of Mohali district, had alleged that four unknown persons who were pedestrians approached him and assaulted him near the Motor Market in Sector 38. The accused also robbed his purse containing cash and snatched his scooter. The police said a case of robbery had been registered at the Maloya police station and an investigation had been initiated.

Man arrested with heroin

The Chandigarh Police arrested Neeraj Mangal, a resident of Phase VII, Mohali, from near a school in Sector 45, with 6.31 gm heroin. A case has been registered at the Sector 34 police station.
