The Government of India has launched an initiative called ‘Skill India’ with the intent to train more than 40 crore youth in India in various skills. To fulfill the growing need of skilled manpower across various sectors, a flagship organisation National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) was set up as a part of National Skill Development Mission. Under NSDC, 38 Sector Skill Councils (SSCs) have been formed, making it mandatory for these to implement the specific training programmes in their respective sectors. All sector skill councils play an important role in bridging the gap between what the industry demands and what the skilling requirements are.

Out of 38 sector skill councils, Electronics Sector Skills Council of India had been formed to strengthen the existing vocational educational system for skills development in the electronics sector. The aim is to enable a world class skilled manpower in the electronics and manufacturing industry and enhance the employability level of Indian human resource. Registered under the Indian Companies Act, 1956, the council operates as an autonomous body with financial support from NSDC. The affiliated training partners (TPs) of the council which are available pan India facilitate the training programmes and conduct assessments of the students after completion of the course.

Upon successfully completing the course, the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) provides the skill certificate to the candidates through which candidates can easily get jobs in their specific area of interest.

Nowadays, the increased pace of IoT (Internet of Things) adoption in the country has made many sectors like industrial manufacturing, energy, agriculture, utilities, transport, and logistics lead the market. The rise in the number of IoT devices in use has led to a significant increase in the number of IoT jobs as well. The candidates only require a combination of skills to ensure a promising career in IoT domain.

Understanding the growing need of IoT-based skills in the market, the Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) has prepared few job-oriented courses (QPs) in which the candidates can take training and get jobs easily in the IoT domain.

The courses are  designed in sync with the industry needs when it comes to IoT training.
