The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) 54 Battalion presented gym equipment to the police drug de-addiction centre at a function here at old PCR, Kashmir.

The gym equipment, including treadmill, electric cycle and vibrate massager, were presented to the officers of the centre by Srinagar DIG, CRPF, KM Yadav.

Deputy Inspector General, central Kashmir, SA Mujtaba, Commanding Officer 54 Bn, SCS Rawat, Superintendent, Police Hospital, Mohammed Shafi Koka, Additional SP, Police Control Room, Manoj Kumar Pandita and senior officials were present on the occasion.

“Our society has to change its attitude towards the people affected by drugs,” Mujtaba said while speaking on the occasion. He said the police drug de-addiction has done a commendable role in rehabilitating people affected by drugs.

The DIG said their drug de-addiction centres have successfully treated hundreds of patients and in near future the police would try to provide more facilities at these centres for the better treatment.

“We will provide all possible help to people who visit our centres with a hope that the affected person gets rid of this ill-habit of taking drugs,” the DIG added. Mujtaba thanked the CRPF for providing the gym equipment for the centre and hoped that it would be put to best use.
