The Student for Society (SFS) organised a protest demonstration and burnt effigy of the PU authorities against the fee hike and false cases. A SFS leader alleged that the authorities did not even bother to review students’ demands in the Senate meeting which held here today.
The Vice-Chancellor repeatedly argued that he was helpless as the MHRD had not been releasing grants, though the financial deficit was too grave that it could not be compensated with the fee hike.
SFS leader Harman said the authorities had been shifting the burden of financial crisis on students instead of pressuring the Central Government.
