‘Suicide note’ of school student found

The police have found a “suicide note” of Class IX student Jatin who was found hanging at the Gurukul hostel on Tuesday.

Investigating officer Kuldeep Singh said the note had been sent for forensic examination. He said the handwriting would be matched before drawing a conclusion. He said the note was found from the deceased’s notebook, found while searching his room.

The body of Jatin, a 14-year-old resident of Jhajjar’s Majri village, was found hanging by a towel tied to a ventilator.

Relying on CCTV footage from the hostel corridor, the police claimed that no movement of students was noticed when Jatin allegedly committed suicide, ruling out foul play. — TNS
