PANIPAT: Four miscreants looted a car and cash from a driver at gunpoint near a toll plaza at Dahar village on the Panipat-Rohtak highway on Thursday night.

Four miscreants looted a car and cash from a driver at gunpoint near a toll plaza at Dahar village on the Panipat-Rohtak highway on Thursday night.

They left the driver of the car at a dhaba near Dahar village.

Sandeep Kumar, a resident of Basai village of Gurugram district, in his statement to the police said he was driving his friend’s Swift Dzire car as an Ola cab. Four youths booked his car from Manesar to Rohtak.

He picked them from Sector 95, Manesar, on Thursday at 9.03 pm. When they reached near the toll plaza, a youth put a gun on him and threw him on the back seat.

When they reached near Dahar village, the miscreants threw him near a dhaba and decamped with the car and Rs 1,700 in cash.

The police have registered a case against unknown persons under various sections of the Indian Penal Code.
