A small fire which broke out in the Sikanderpur and DLF phase 1 area later spread to Aravallis green cover nearby.
Sources said a small fire broke out in slums behind the Guru Dronacharya Metro station. The slum dwellers tried to douse the flames themselves, but to no avail. Soon the fire engulfed the slums and spread in the green cover. Four fire tenders reached the spot. The fire, however, continued to spread and more tenders were called.
