FM: e-way bill successful in state

The implementation of the e-way bill under the Goods and Services Tax in the state has been a grand success.

Disclosing this here on Tuesday, Excise and Taxation Department Minister Capt Abhimanyu said with the launch of the intra-state e-way bill from April 20, 2018, the numbers of bills generated in the state had doubled as compared to the previous numbers when only inter-state e-way bills were generated.

He said the E-way Bills statistics for April 23, 2018, when more than 1.45 lakh E-way Bills were generated from the state, 40 per cent E-way Bills were generated for inter-state transactions and about 60 per cent were for intra-state.

He said on April 23, 2018 , around 1,418 tax payers got registered and 14 transporters got enrolled.

He said the maximum numbers of inter-state E-way Bills were generated in Gurugram West, while the maximum numbers of intra-state E-way Bills were generated in Gurugram North. — TNS
