SONEPAT: Haryana with 210 points on Saturday emerged the overall champion in the five–day National School Girls Wrestling Championship being organised at Geetanjali Senior Secondary School, Guru Sadan, Badwasni in the district.

Haryana with 210 points on Saturday emerged the overall champion in the five–day National School Girls Wrestling Championship being organised at Geetanjali Senior Secondary School, Guru Sadan, Badwasni in the district.

Delhi with 135 points came second, closely followed by Maharashtra with 134 points at the third position. Punjab and Uttar Pradesh with 121 and 118 points, respectively, stood fourth and fifth.

Olympics medallist Sakshi Malik and her husband Satya Varat Kadian, an international wrestler, visited the school on Saturday and encouraged the participants to work hard to achieve their goals.
