Reacting to Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan’s threat to India of dire consequences if a war was inflicted on Pakistan, former Chief Minister and Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Tuesday said India was not afraid of the hollow threats from Pakistan.

The Indian government should give a befitting reply to Pakistan as it was behind the Pulwama attack, in which 40 CRPF jawans were martyred, he said.

“We all should remain united,” said Hooda, while interacting with mediapersons here at the residence of Trilochan Singh, former chairperson of the Haryana Minority Commission, at Model Town.

Hooda was chairing a programme organised by Trilochan Singh to pay tributes to the Pulwama martyrs. The residents also paid tributes to martyrs and observed a two-minute silence.

Hooda lauded the contribution of the security forces in the safety of the citizens and said, “We are proud of the security forces. We lead a peaceful life because these brave soldiers take care of the nation on borders.”
