PANIPAT: A newborn baby boy was found abandoned on the outskirts of Tamshabad village in the Sanoli area of the district on Monday morning.

Panipat, February 11

A newborn baby boy was found abandoned on the outskirts of Tamshabad village in the Sanoli area of the district on Monday morning. 

The child has been admitted to a private hospital and an unknown woman has been booked under various sections of the IPC. 

The baby was spotted by former village sarpanch Rampal Singh while having a morning walk. 

He said it seemed a woman delivered the baby at that spot and threw him in bushes. 

SHO, Sanoli, Praveen Kumar said on the basis of the statement of Rampal Singh, a case has been registered under Section 317 of the IPC.  The police were questioning midwives and nursing homes in nearby areas.
