GURUGRAM: Two students of Jamia Millia Islamia were killed and three others injured critically when the car they were travelling in rammed into another vehicle near Sidhrawali village here.

Two students of Jamia Millia Islamia were killed and three others injured critically when the car they were travelling in rammed into another vehicle near Sidhrawali village here.

According to the police, the five students, headed for a holiday in Rajasthan, started from Delhi on Tuesday evening.

After being informed, police team reached the spot. They took the injured to a hospital in the police jeep as the ambulance was taking time. Two of them succumbed to their injuries in the hospital.

Shams Idrish stated that 25-year-old Anan, his sister’s son, was going to Rajasthan with his four friends — Chetan, Jakir, Faizi and Subhash.

“The vehicle being driven ahead of them was speeding when it applied brakes. Their car collided with it, after which the vehicle in front was driven away. Doctors declared Anan and Chetan brought dead,” read the complaint. An FIR was registered at the Bilaspur police station. — TNS
