Adopt standard operation procedure: Chief Secy

SHIMLA: Waking up to the jaundice outbreak in the state, Chief Secretary Vineet Chawdhary today directed senior officers of the Irrigation and Public Health, Rural Development, Urban Development, Health, Municipal Corporation and other local urban bodies to work as team to check the spread of waterborne diseases such as Hepatitis-A or Hepatitis-E in the state.

Shimla, January 18

Waking up to the jaundice outbreak in the state, Chief Secretary Vineet Chawdhary today directed senior officers of the Irrigation and Public Health, Rural Development, Urban Development, Health, Municipal Corporation and other local urban bodies to work as team to check the spread of waterborne diseases such as Hepatitis-A or Hepatitis-E in the state.

Presiding over the meeting of top officials of the departments Chawdhary said the standard operation procedure should be adopted by the IPH and Health departments to clean all the water tanks and reservoirs in the state.
