The Congress is to organise a rally at Dharamsala on December 3 to counter the BJP rally being organised on December 2. The BJP has planned a rally at Dharamsala to demand the ouster of Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh in view of the CBI and ED cases registered against him.
The decision was taken during the Congress Legislative Party meeting this evening.
Sources said the rally was proposed by Congress leaders from Kangra. The leaders were of the view that they should counter the BJP rally. They had sought permission from the CM for the rally to be organised at the Zorawar Singh stadium near the Assembly complex, the same venue where the BJP was organising it.
It is being expected that the BJP legislative group may mellow down its offensive against the CM in the winter session after the meeting of Prem Kumar Dhumal and the CM.
