Dharamsala, December 5

The Dalai Lama took a jibe at the controversial religious guru, Ram Rahim Singh, saying Indian spiritual message should reach the world in a better manner, and not in the way the controversial Haryana guru was doing. It was the result of the ideals of the Indian system that even the gurus who did wrong were punished, he said.

The Dalai Lama was addressing students of Dharamsala Government College while presiding over the annual function. He was the chief guest.

The Tibetan spiritual guru said the world could learn a lot from the Indian culture. It was the only nation where traditional culture, modern education and science and technology were well blended. The Dalai Lama also said many people considered him as God. “I am not God but just a messenger of the traditional values of India. Wherever I go in the world, I praise the Indian traditions and culture. I am still studying the Indian system and am a disciple and India is guru,” the Dalai Lama said.
