Patients getting free generic medicines, says Minister

Shimla, February 21

Health Minister Vipin Singh Parmar today said ever since the generic pharmacy had started functioning at the IGMC, 3 lakh patients had got free medicines. To facilitate the patients, the state government had decided to give the medicines for free. The state government has notified that all outdoor and indoor patients will get these medicines round the clock every day from February 22.

Parmar said various initiatives were being taken to provide better facilities to the people of the state. The state government would make sure that doctors and para-medical staff are adequate in every health institution. — TNS
