Review meeting ahead of Prez visit

SHIMLA: Chief Secretary BK Agarwal on Tuesday directed officials of the state government to make necessary arrangements for the proposed visit of President Ram Nath Kovind at the convocation of Dr Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College, Tanda, Kangra, and Himachal Pradesh University (HPU), Shimla, on October 29 and 30, respectively.

Chief Secretary BK Agarwal on Tuesday directed officials of the state government to make necessary arrangements for the proposed visit of President Ram Nath Kovind at the convocation of Dr Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College, Tanda, Kangra, and Himachal Pradesh University (HPU), Shimla, on October 29 and 30, respectively.

The President will confer degrees on students of Tanda medical college on October 29 and the next day, he will award degrees to HPU students. Agarwal directed officials of the district administration, civic body and other departments to make all necessary arrangements. DGP SR Mardi, Vice-Chancellors, Secretaries, heads of various departments, senior officers of the Army, police and government officials were present at the meeting.
