SRINAGAR: A gunfight broke out on Monday between security forces and militants at Tral village in south Kashmir.

Srinagar, March 4

A gunfight broke out  on Monday between security forces and militants at Tral village in south Kashmir. 

The gunbattle started during a cordon and search operation at Reshi Mohalla area of Tral in Pulwama district.

Officials said the cordon and search operation was launched following an input about possible presence of two or more  militants in the area.
