Cop killed, 14 hurt as vehicle overturns

srinagar, April 23

A policeman on poll duty was killed and 14 others, including eight securitymen, were injured when the vehicle they were travelling in met with an accident in Anantnag district.

Chief Electoral Officer of the state said the vehicle turned turtle at Kokarnag and fell into a gorge.

“While the policeman died, another critically injured was shifted to Srinagar,” he said. — TNS
