Taekwondo students of the Sports Authority of India (SAI), Kargil, have bagged six medals, including two silver, in the second All India Inter SAI Korea Ambassador’s Cup Taekwondo Championship 2019 held at Indira Gandhi International Stadium, New Delhi.
A total of six boys and four girls of SAI Special Area Game, Kargil, participated in the championship. President of the Kargil Taekwondo Association Gulzar Hussain Munshi expressed happiness over opening of the SAI Special Area Game Centre at Kargil with taekwondo as one of its games.
He also congratulated coach Mohammad Ali for outstanding performance of players.
Munshi requested the government to provide all types of facilities at the centre to the players and increase the intake capacity so that more budding players get benefitted.
