Pandit body presses for free coaching to migrants

JAMMU: The All-State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) has demanded inclusion of displaced Kashmiri Pandit students in Super-50 Tutorial, under which free coaching for competitive exams is being imparted to students by the director, school education, Kashmir (DSEK).

Jammu, November 30

The All-State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) has demanded inclusion of displaced Kashmiri Pandit students in Super-50 Tutorial, under which free coaching for competitive exams is being imparted to students by the director, school education, Kashmir (DSEK).

It alleged that the education department had adopted a biased approach and appealed to the state administration to extend such programmes for students in other districts too.

The DSEK has invited applications for free coaching for competitive exams such as IIT-JEE, NEET and JKCET in all districts of the Kashmir division.

“Our organisation has always highlighted the step-motherly treatment being given to the Pandits by the administration in allocating resources,” said Dr TK Bhat, general secretary, ASKPC. — TNS
