The district administration today claimed to have plugged in around 165-feet wide breach that appeared in Mau Sahib village two days ago. A team of the district administration, led by Additional Deputy Commissioner (general) Jasbir Singh had started plugging operations at Mau Sahib village that was hit by floods on Tuesday evening.
Officials from various departments, MGNREGA workers and around 200 volunteers each of Baba Kashmira Singh, Baba Tarvinder Singh Sangh Dhesia and Baba Nirmal Singh were on the job to plug the breach in Mau Sahib with the sandbags.
Divulging the details, ADC (G) Jasbir Singh said there were four major breaches in villages Mau Sahib and Mionwal due to floods and this was one of biggest breach. — TNS
