The four-day home decor and lifestyle exhibition at Desh Bhagat Yadgar Hall brought cheer to residents.

Ahead of Diwali, the auto expo trade fair exhibition did not fail to entice the residents. Crockery items, handicrafts and decorative pieces from Afghanistan and Rajasthan are the centre of attraction. Craftsmen and entrepreneurs from all across the country have displayed their items at the exhibition.

Artists from remote locations of Rajasthan displayed their handicrafts and pots at the exhibition. Although costly, citizens didn’t resist from buying them. The price list of the handicrafts shaped in the form of sculptures, pots, Ganesh, etc, ranging between Rs 200- 25,000 are available. Besides this, Manoj, an artist from Jaipur said the terracotta decorative he displayed were made up of sand mixed with white cement.

He said people in Jalandhar had exhibited good response towards his terracotta items, specially the Gautam Buddha sculptures. Other than the Afghani jewelery, the artificial trees also delighted the visitors.

Meenal Chaddha and her husband Ashok said the exhibition has saved their time as everything was available under one roof. This time, there was more variety in the exhibition. Instead of going to the market, they preferred coming to the exhibition and it helped them get new and trendy items.

Moreover, traditional items from Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh were also beautiful, Meenal added.

The visitors also flocked the grocery counter. The new variety of organic tea lured the fitness conscious people the most.
