Prabhas’ calculated move

Prabhas became a household name with Hindi-speaking audience post the success of Baahubali: The Beginning. His popularity further reached its zenith after 2017’s Baahubali: The Conclusion. His next film, Saaho, an action thriller, is simultaneously being made in Telugu and Hindi.

While many a Bollywood filmmaker has approached Prabhas for a film, he has refused them as of now. It seems he has put his Bollywood debut plans on the hold for now. 

But we know that his love affair with Bollywood has already started, even before his official Hindi movie debut.  For one, he roped in a Bollywood villain Neil Nitin Mukesh to play the antagonist in Saaho. Next, he got celebrated Bollywood music directors Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy on board to give music for the film. Also, there is sa trong buzz that Saaho will see him romance a Bollywood beauty. 

An industry source told, “This may be a calculated move. Getting popular names and faces from Bollywood to work in his projects will give the films a pan-India appeal.”
