Rising in love

APJ School..flip...boy and girl…flip...fashion sketch...flip...clapperboard…flip...wedding knot. We just flipped through 'pages' of their 'life-book' stitched by 'love'. The first page has Adhvik and Neha in school uniform at APJ School, Jalandhar as boy and girl. The 'index page' has the young Neha as a designer and two-year-senior Adhvik in school as the model for a school-project. The spark of teeny-crush has ignited.

And it did not let up after school. The stronger hand clasped the tender one as they went to college. And then, the hands parted ways, called away by career paths, but the hearts stayed connected. The spark turned by now into 'flame of love.'

Adhvik was in front of the camera, kicking punches, swooshing legs, learning kung fu, and getting better at playing different emotions, characters as an actor in Mumbai. Neha went to Delhi to spruce up fashion, design skills at NIFT.

Adhvik bagged the lead role in the-then-maverick Ram Gopal Verma's movie Contract. Television beckoned him with Bani—Ishq Da Kamla, Akbar Birbal and several other characters and roles. Adhvik found his feet in Mumbai and Neha completed her degree.

The sounds of shehnai were heard soon after, and the knot was tied. The hearts that stayed connected for years, merged. "We got married quite early, considering today's standards. We couldn't stay away from one another for long," smiles Neha. And no, thankfully, there were no melodramatic twists and turns, trials and tribulations.

At Mumbai, Adhvik and Neha Mahajan are moving ahead in their careers. Next, in the popular Diya Aur Baati Hum on television, Adhvik is all set to play an 'antagonist' as Kabaddi champ. He is going to sparkle on Telugu screen, and playing another lead in his next Hindi flick, Love Exchange.

Neha designs fashion outfits and accessories for several B-town actors and popular faces of television. And she travels to showcase her designs under the label The Bling Queen.

“Married for two years, we feel blissfully blessed to have each other by our side,” says Neha as they go on 'stitching the pages' ahead with love.
