67 cases solved at Lok Suvidha camp

KHAMANO: A Lok Suvidha camp was organised at Amrala village under Gurpreet GP, MLA, Bassi Pathana, in which residents of about 11 villages participated.

A Lok Suvidha camp was organised at Amrala village under Gurpreet GP, MLA, Bassi Pathana, in which residents of about 11 villages participated. Hari Singh, Naib Tehsildar, Khamano, and other officials concerned were present on the occasion. A number of residents of the area turned up with their problems at the camp.

Officials of 13 departments, including the Panchayat Department, Health, Revenue, cooperative, social welfare, PWD, Education Department, heard grievances of the people.

Most of the complaints were related to 5 marla plots, blue cards, pensions and employment.

A total of 376 applications were received by the officials, of which 67 cases were found to be genuine and were cleared on the spot.

The MLA directed the officials concerned to redress the problems of the people without any delay and said the complaints would be resolved within one week by the departments concerned.

He said irregularity by any official would not be tolerated. Hari Singh, Naib Tehsildar, said this was the third camp in Khamano subdivision and two other camps would be held at Farour on July 23 and at Chandiala village on July 30.

Senior officials and Congress leaders, including Surinder Singh Dhaliwal, BDPO, Khamano, Dr Naresh Chauhan, SMO, Sanghol, Surinder Singh Ramgarh, District General Secretary Congress, Dr Amarjit Sohal, block president, Sarbajit Singh Jeetee, Avtar Singh Ranwan and other local leaders of Congress and officials of different departments were present. — OC
