Annual pharmacology quiz at CMC held

LUDHIANA: The Department of Pharmacology, Christian Medical College and Hospital, organised “Pharmiz-2019”, the 15th annual pharmacology quiz for MBBS students.

The Department of Pharmacology, Christian Medical College and Hospital, organised “Pharmiz-2019”, the 15th annual pharmacology quiz for MBBS students.

Four teams from MBBS batches 2014-2017 were selected through prelim round conducted on September 6. Dr William Bhatti, Director, CMC, inaugurated the quiz and emphasised on the use of innovative methods to make learning interesting.

He appreciated the efforts of the faculty and students for continuity of the quiz for 15 years. Dr Jeyaraj D Pandian, Principal, CMC, conveyed his best wishes for all four batches of MBBS and highlighted the conduct of the 15th edition of the quiz on the celebrations of the 125 years of establishment of the CMC.

Dr Gagandeep Kwatra, Professor and Head, Pharmacology, introduced the concept of the quiz and also the student teams participating in the quiz. She also announced the winners of a thematic poster session contest.

Dr Dinesh Badyal, Professor, Pharmacology, and quiz master, conducted the quiz along with a team from the Pharmacology Department. The quiz consisted of six rounds, including multiple-choice questions, logical reasoning, cross word, visual depictions, history of medicine and rapid-fire round.

The winners of Pharmiz-2019 are Jeena Thomas and Josiah Abraham from MBBS batch 2014.
