Creativity takes centre stage at INSPIRE

CT University hosted a state-level scientific project competition wherein 78 school students hailing from different districts of Punjab showcased their innovative scientific projects based on maths, science, ecology and engineering principles.

The programme was held under the Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) programme implemented by the District Education Office.

Welcoming the students and guests, CT University managing director Manbir Singh lauded the efforts of young innovative minds and described them as future scientific leaders.

Dr Hardev Chaudhary from Ahmedabad, representing the National Innovation Foundation, said, “The Department of Science and Technology, is successfully implementing the INSPIRE scheme to motivate students to pursue science and a career in research.”

District science supervisor Balwinder Kaur said the INSPIRE award- Million Minds Augmenting National Aspiration and Knowledge (MANAK) is a great motivation for young students as it aligns them with the Start-Up India initiative launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The showcased projects were witnessed by Ludhiana DEO Swaranjit Kaur and officials of CT University. The winners were also felicitated.

Chancellor Charanjit Channi said the time demands one to innovate or evaporate and the university has always been encouraging thought process in youth.
