Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College has added another feather to its cap by performing remarkably well in the acclaimed SUPRA event organised by SAEINDIA at the Buddha International Circuit, Greater Noida recently.

A team of students from multiple streams designed, analysed and fabricated a Formula Car that competed with 126 teams from across the country. Companies, namely Avon Cycles, Ralco Tyres, Kings Exports, Eastman Impex, Diana Mining Equipments and Global Insulation Solutions, sponsored the team.

“Technical inspection judges have approached me specially to acknowledge the vast and acute technical knowledge with which students are equipped with. That’s something which makes the institution proud,” said Prof Sukhinderpal Singh, adviser to the team.

Sehijpal Singh, principal of GNDEC, and the head of Mechanical Department, Paramjit Singh Bilga, applauded the efforts of the students and faculty. —TNS
