Komalpreet, Yuvraj to lead Punjab teams

LUDHIANA: Komalpreet Kaur and Yuvraj Singh have been selected to lead the Punjab girls'' and boys'' basketball teams, respectively, in the ensuing 46th Sub-Junior National Basketball Championship slated to be held from September 3 to 9 at Cuttack in Orissa.

Komalpreet Kaur and Yuvraj Singh have been selected to lead the Punjab girls' and boys' basketball teams, respectively, in the ensuing 46th Sub-Junior National Basketball Championship slated to be held from September 3 to 9 at Cuttack in Orissa.

Players of two teams were given a warm send-off at a function held at Guru Nanak Stadium here on Saturday. 

JP Singh and Teja Singh Dhaliwal, vice-president and general secretary, respectively, of the Punjab Basketball Association (PBA) wished the players good luck for the national championship.

Rajinder Singh, senior coach, PBA, along with coach Jaspal Singh, was also present there on this occasion.

Selected members

(Boys): Yuvraj Singh (captain), Jaddu Mann, Gurmat Singh, Rhythm, Ramandeep Singh, Gunveer Singh, Gurmaninder Singh, Yuvraj Singh, Sahibjeet Singh, Khushpreet Singh, Harshpartap Singh and Rupansh Garg. Rahuldeep Singh and Davinder Singh will accompany the contingent as officials.

Girls: Komalpreet Kaur (captain), Manpreet Kaur, Nadar Kaur, Tarushi Bahl, Samiksha Parmar, Samardeep Sandhu, Sania, Krishanpreet Kaur, Pavneet Kaur, Gurdial Kaur, Arshdeep Kaur and Tanvi. KK Jaggi and Kavita Bahl have been appointed coach and manager, respectively of the team.
