Mother Tongue Day celebrations

LUDHIANA: The day was celebrated at Guru Nanak International Public School, Model Town, to promote awareness of linguistic and cultural diversity.

Ludhiana: The day was celebrated at Guru Nanak International Public School, Model Town, to promote awareness of linguistic and cultural diversity. Students of classes VI, VII and  VIII participated in various activities to promote the preservation and protection of their mother tongue - Punjabi. Class VI students participated in a declamation contest, Class VII students in a singing competition and Class VIII students took part in a painting contest .

BVM, Sec 39, Chd road

The school celebrated the day. The Punjabi teacher- Amardeep Kaur- enlightened the students about the importance of the language, its emergence and progress over the years. Ridhi, a student of Class VI presented a Punjabi poem. Various competitions such as poem reciatation, folk song and story telling were also organised. The school principal, Rajni Arora, motivated the students to love and respect our mother tounge Punjabi.

BVM, Kitchlu Nagar

The school celebrated International Mother Tongue Day with pomp and show. To promote and and preserving Punjabi, various activities and competitions were organised such as self-composed poem writing, calligraphy and paper reading. Students were also encouraged to introduce themselves in mother tongue. Principal Neelam Mittar messaged the students to save their original identity of being Punjabis by being one with their glorious past of bravery and sacrifices.

Sacred Heart School, Khanna

The school celebrated the day with great enthusiasm. Paramjeet Singh was the resource person who enlightened the students of Classes X and XII about the idea of a Mother Language Day through activities to promote linguistic diversity and multilingual education. He highlighted the significance of mother language for the cultural betterment of the nation through poems and quotes in an interesting style which kept the students engrossed.
