NOTA their preferred choice

A number of youth and social workers unhappy with the functioning of the government preferred to press NOTA on the EVM during the 2019 General Election today.

“Exercising our franchise is our duty but favouring anybody under pressure is no less than a crime,” said Greenika Sharma of Lopon village, who voted in favour of NOTA.

“It has been years together. We are deprived of basic facilities. The common man looks forward to the new government but no one has fulfilled our expectations,” she said.

First-time voter Hardik said, “These people have befooled us time and again. No political outfit thinks about general welfare. They fill their own coffers. NOTA will be my first and last choice for non-performing politicians.” — OC
