Caught on camera: 4 youths beaten up in revenge attack in Faridabad

FARIDABAD: The police have registered a case under Section 307 of the IPC in connection with an alleged murderous assault on four youths at Sector 7-10 market here on Tuesday night.

The police have registered a case under Section 307 of the IPC in connection with an alleged murderous assault on four youths at Sector 7-10 market here on Tuesday night.

The assault launched by a group of 10 to 12 youths hailing from Newada village of the district resulted in injuries to four youths hailing from Machhgar village.

The attackers who came with crude weapons such as hockey sticks and iron rods pounded on the victims who had come to have juice at a shop here.

The assault which continued for 10 to 15 minutes resulted in a chaos in the busy market.

Though the police reached the spot located just opposite the sweet shop within a few minutes of the report, the attackers managed to flee before the cops arrived.

The injured were rushed to hospital where their condition is reported to be stable.

The incident was recorded by some onlookers who flashed the clip on social media.

“The police have registered a case and was on the move to arrest the culprits,” said a spokesperson of the police department.

He said an old enmity in which one of the members of the attacker group was beaten up four days ago, by one of the victims, resulted in the revenge attack last night.
