The Delhi police today arrested a hoax-caller threatening a Peshawar-style attack from Tilak Nagar. The police said Virender Singh, 54, was in a drunken state when he made a call to the Delhi Police control room.

The man who called the Delhi police referred to the attack in Army Public School in Peshawar, Pakistan, on Tuesday in which terrorists killed 141 people, including 132 children.

"He made calls to the police control room, saying that he would launch an attack similar to what happened in Pakistan. He said he would kill thousands of students,” said sources in the Delhi police.

The Delhi police and their Gurgaon counterpart arrested another man, Sunny Sharma, from Shiv Vihar in north-west Delhi. Sharma had allegedly made a call to the Delhi PCR today and claimed to have planted bombs in Delhi and Gurgaon.

“He said he had planted 60 bombs at malls in Gurgaon and the metro and market places in Delhi. He mentioned Arcadia Complex in Gurgaon. But the call was a hoax and no bombs were found," said police sources. Sharma was using a SIM card, which belonged to a person who had lost the SIM card at Vyapar Kendra in Delhi.
