Howrah, April 12
A 30-year-old man allegedly killed his mother in their house at Birshibpur in this district, police said on Wednesday.
The unemployed man killed his widowed mother with a sharp weapon on Tuesday night and fled the house after locking the room and main gate of the building.
Locals spotted blood flow in the drain and informed police who recovered the body.
The man, hiding in the village, was arrested.
Police was investigating the cause of the killing. PTI
