Pratapgarh, August 14
A 55-year-old man was shot dead this morning by motorcycle-borne assailants in Chaukhara village here, police said.
Additional Superintendent of Police Poornendu Singh said the assailants fired at Harishchandra Singh.
"He was rushed to the district hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead," Singh said.
Police have sent the body for post-mortem and have launched an investigation in the matter. — PTI.
