17-year-old Moga girl kidnapped

MOGA: A 17-year old girl studying in Class XI at SFC School in Jalalabad (East) village in Dharamkot sub-division of the district has been kidnapped by a youth of her village, police officials informed today.

A 17-year old girl studying in Class XI at SFC School in Jalalabad (East) village in Dharamkot sub-division of the district has been kidnapped by a youth of her village, police officials informed today.

The girl had gone to the school on August 9, but she did not return home.

Initially, the family members tried to trace the girl on their own, but when their efforted failed, they informed the local police.

After enquiries at their own level, the family came to know that a youth of Daata village, identified as Gagandeep Singh alias Gagna, had reportedly kidnapped their daughter. They then reported the matter to the police.

Following a complaint by the family, the police had registered a case under Sections 363 and 366(A) of the IPC against the alleged accused at Dharamkot police station and launched a hunt to trace the kidnapped girl and the accused youth.
