Clear pending bills: Millers

Resentment prevails among rice millers against state procurement agencies due to non-clearance of their pending bills despite the fact that the millers have received clearance certificate i.e. “no dues” from procurement agencies.

Nakesh Jindal, press secretary of the association, said on the basis of the NOC, the miller was allotted paddy for the next season. He said there was no reason for procurement agencies to retain any amount of millers related to previous years. He urged the Food Minister to direct agencies to release the dues of the millers worth crores. — OC
