New Delhi, September 15
In an effort to send the message of Guru Nanak across a wider audience, the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) is set to collaborate with the Railways for using in-train advertising to promote the 550th Gurpurb of the first Sikh Guru.
“The DSGMC aims at utilising mobile outdoor media in a big way on 10 long route premium/Metro trains to connect with larger audience for promoting Sikh ethos of serving people without any discrimination of region, religion, race or caste,” said DSGMC chief Manjinder Singh Sirsa.
The DSGMC is looking at
Rajdhani between Delhi-Mumbai and Shatabdis on Delhi-Lucknow and Delhi-Amritsar routes, besides Metros in Delhi, Mumbai and Jaipur. They will use pictures, printed material, electronic media, smart posters, holographic images, etc., on the internal panels of its train coaches to spread messages about the Gurpurb. “Talks with the Railways are in the final stage and deal is likely to be operationalised in September only,” Sirsa said. — TNS
