Haryana girl wins silver in Asian wrestling championship

ROHTAK: Haryana wrestler Mansi has won a silver medal in the 57-kg category at the Junior Asian Wrestling Championship held in New Delhi.

Haryana wrestler Mansi has won a silver medal in the 57-kg category at the Junior Asian Wrestling Championship held in New Delhi. 

Mansi belongs to Sheria village in Jhajjar district and practices at Sir Chhotu Ram Stadium in Rohtak.

Mansi's coach Mandeep said she had brought laurels to the state and the country by performing well at the international event. She had also won silver medal at Sub-Junior Asian Championship organised in Uzbekistan, he added.

Coach Mandeep said Mansi has also been selected for the Youth Olympics slated to be organised in Argentina in October.

Mansi said she also got support from coaches Sanjay and Jagdish, apart from wrestlers Bholu and Bhim.
