India to host Combined World Cup in 2019

India is becoming the next big destination for prestigious shooting competitions.

India is becoming the next big destination for prestigious shooting competitions. After bagging the hosting rights for the season’s first World Cup, beginning on Friday, and the World Cup Finals in October, the country has been allotted the Combined World Cup in 2019, a qualifying event for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) today approved the National Rifle Association of India’s bid, allotting the event to Delhi. ISSF’s executive board, which is meeting in the national capital on February 21-22, awarded the hosting right in a unanimous vote. — TNS
