Recruiting in India.

WE are glad to learn that His Highness the Maharaja Sahib Malavendra Bahadur of Nabha has, with a view to stimulate recruiting for the Indian army in his State, been pleased to constitute a Recruiting Board, with Sardar Ajit Singh, B.A., B.L., Additional Secretary to His Highness, as President and the District Nazims as members of the said Board. The Maharaja's Zeal in placing the material resources of the State at the disposal of the Government is well-known and highly appreciated and we feel sure that his efforts to add to the man-power of the Government will be appreciated even more highly. That Sardar Ajit Singh is the right man in the right place for this work goes without saying
