Doshi, 90, is the first from India to win the $100,000 award, which was established by the Pritzker family in Chicago, and is considered the highest honour in architecture. Reuters

Shanghai: China will create a bastion for giant pandas three times the size of Yellowstone National Park to link up and encourage breeding among existing wild populations of the notoriously slow-reproducing animal. The park would cover 27,134 square km. Yellowstone, established in 1872 as the first US national park, spans 8,983 square km. AFP

Washington: Scientists have most likely found the bones of legendary American pilot Amelia Earhart, the first woman aviator to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean who mysteriously disappeared in 1937 while flying over the Pacific. Bone measurement analysis indicates that the remains found on a remote island in the South Pacific were likely those of Earhart, researchers said. PTI
