8 killed as passenger bus overturns in Pakistan’s Sindh province

ISLAMABAD: At least eight people were killed and 44 others injured when a passenger bus overturned in Pakistan’s Sindh province on Friday.

The police and rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the bodies and the injured to the District Headquarters Hospital, where the condition of 10 people was said to be critical.



Islamabad, April 19

At least eight people were killed and 44 others injured when a passenger bus overturned in Pakistan’s Sindh province on Friday.

The bus overturned due to over-speeding in the Morjhar area of Badin, a district in Sindh. It was heading towards Karachi from lslamkot when the accident took place, Xinhua news agency reported.

The police and rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the bodies and the injured to the District Headquarters Hospital, where the condition of 10 people was said to be critical.

Earlier this week, at least 14 people, including women and children, were killed in a collision between a passenger van and a truck in Balochistan. IANS
