To enhance administrative skills of faculty and staff members, the Central University of Punjab (CUP) organised a special seminar on time management. Hanuman Sharma, controller of examinations at Jawaharlal Nehru University, was the resourceperson for the event. Around 40 employees and senior administrative persons attended the programme.
Sharma shared information on the importance of time management in daily life. By referring to his experiences in the Indian Army, he said in order to enhance time management abilities, one should follow discipline in life.
He said, “Everyone gets the same amount of time in a day but those who are focused, passionate for their work and set time goals to complete tasks could achieve better results in life.” In order to enhance productivity in office, he recommended adoption of strategies like ‘Work and Play’, ‘Do and Delegate’, ‘Say No for not possible’, ‘Tasks Prioritization’ and preparation of ‘Daily To Do List’.
