Mohali, November 26
Mayor Amarjit Singh Jeeti Sidhu today handed over the keys of a cemetery to the Muslim community at Balongi village after the completion of necessary works. Deputy Mayor Kuljit Singh Bedi was also present.
Sidhu said it was a long-standing demand of the Muslim community. Land for the cemetery was given by MLA and former minister Balbib Singh Sidhu. The Mayor assured the leaders of the Muslim community that other needs of the community would also be met. — TNS
